I would like to cordially invite you to an evening of light refreshments and a lecture by renowned speech-language pathologist Jackie Gartner-Schmidt PhD SLP-CCC at the Indiana University School of Medicine Voice Center on May 15 at 4:30 PM. Dr Gartner-Schmidt is the co-director of the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center and is recognized as a leading expert in care of voice disorders; she will be giving a lecture on “The Black Box of Voice Therapy”.
The Indiana University School of Medicine Voice Center is a new center as part of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. The center functions on a model of true inter-professional care of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. My professional philosophy holds essential the collaborative efforts between physicians, speech-language pathologists, and others in the voice world and I am excited to be able to foster that collaborative spirit with programs like this that bring our fields together.
Please feel free to invite others in your department that may have an interest in attending. I ask that you kindly RSVP to Sarah Maxwell at email@example.com with a head count of who may be attending so we can reserve the proper space size and enough refreshments.
