Member - Must hold a Master's degree of higher with a major
emphasis in speech-language pathology, audiology, speech or hearing
science, or education of the hearing impaired; must be a resident of
or be employed in the State of Indiana. Any person who was an active
Member as of September 1983, because of an earlier membership, may continue
his membership upon uninterrupted payment of dues.
Associate Member - Must hold a Bachelors degree with a major
emphasis in speech-language pathology, audiology, speech or hearing
science, or education of the hearing impaired; must be employed in or
a resident of the State of Indiana; also any person having held previous
active membership who no longer lives or is employed in Indiana may
transfer to Associate Membership.
Student Affiliate - A Student Affiliate shall be enrolled in
an undergraduate or graduate program with a major emphasis in speech
language pathology, audiology, speech or hearing science, or education
of the hearing impaired and shall not be gainfully employed in any of
the above professions except as a recipient of a scholarship or other
educational stipend.
Life Member and Associate Life Member - Any person who has been
a Member in good standing (or Associate Member) for ten years, who has
reached the age of 60, or who must retire due to health reasons, may
apply for and automatically receive life membership.
